I'm not sure I would classify this as a teething problem.  A vehicle that when the driver takes their hands off the wheel and it ends up heading for the ditch or another lane of traffic is serious safety concern.  That the dealer (manufacturer) is unable to fix the problem is also very troubling.  A 1st year buyer should never have to resign themselves with having to deal with something like this no matter where on the automotive food chain they happen to occupy.

The van looks nice enough though...

One could argue that the driver shouldn't be taking his/her hands off the wheel in the first place, but I see your point.

Smiley I have not had the opportunity to check out the Hyundai minivan, but have seen and drove the KIA Sedona.  The Sedona is a very good vehicle in all respects.  Perhaps gas millage is not as good as one would hope, but it does have good acceleration and easy shifting.  The one area that I find the real telling in evaluating a product is warranty, and KIA has the best.  Their warranty implies confidence by the manufacture that their product will be reliable over the longer haul.  I find that automobile reviewers do not highlight warranty, and they accept a 36,000 mile 3 year warranty acceptable/ competitive,  and even indicate that a 36,000 mile warranty car (like Toyota) is more reliable than a 60,000/100,000 mile warranty car.  I would recommend that warranty be a major factor in reviewing any automobile.  And lastly, I recommend that fuel type (regular vs premium) and fuel efficiency also be a bold item.
