Have you ever lubed the track as the dirt will build up in certain areas on all types of tracked roofs. I use a product called  Lubriplate which hangs in for a really long time after being sprayed. Its almost waterproof and ma yhelp solve your problem. Theres a lot of dirt in the air as we drive to foul the tracks over the years so thats kinda of a normal thing sooner or later.  :)

Myself I buy iot from a GM Dealership but it can be bought at most good automotive stores. Its a spray grease that stays where you put it and is a ideal lubricant for this task. I have been useing this on my one car since 1984 and the moonroof still runs great.  :)

Good as thats not bad at all but do lube it for the future usage. Less stress on the chains with fresh lube on them. Hows the rubber seal holding up while you are looking at it? I used Silicone Emulsion on mine since 1986 and it is still sealed and doing a good job for me. These can be expensive to change out so service it while you are there.  :)
