I agree for now, tastes are alway changing.  I going that very dealer tomorrow to try and make a deal on 06'.  I was snooping around to see what they had on the lot and was surprised to see some 07's.

Will not the dealer be closed tomorrow

They were closed on Saturday in preperation for a (Mallwide) blowout sale on Monday.  I think collectively everybody wanted the Saturday off instead of Monday.

Keeping my fingers crossed.  I still have 8 months left on my Pro's lease so I won't do anything without getting at least $1200 off.  I am after a fully loaded one with leather and roof so there is a bit of fat to work with.

I may be a bit premature doing this but hey, the dealer did send me an flyer spelling out customer loyalty discounts etc.

Good luck on getting discount for 07 Mazda3. I have heard from a sales manager that they are going to sell those on full MSRP until next shipment arrives.

The deal is done.  Basically I got PDI and freight off an 06' model.  I'm not the greatest haggler but it was the outcome I was hoping for.  We did the go to the manager thing only once.

Anyhow, it a Mazda3 Sport GT with leather package, manual trans in Winning Blue.  I am due to pick it up on Thursday.

Thanks all!  I will try to post some pics on Thursday.

My wife is with you on the Leather, AV.  She keeps asking me about how hot it will get.  I used to hate leather too but since we got our couch I have learned to love the feel and the smell plus it looks nice.

As for Steeler black, the pickings were getting slim on the colours especially in a stick.  For me it was anything but silver.

As nice the heated seats sound, I CAN wait to use them.  Dumb question, do they shut off after a set amount of time?

the ones I  have usually reach a max temp and stay there.
In my truck with cloth seats it has 2 settings, the 323 with  leather it has 3 settings.
If I have a sore back on the way home from work I will sometimes turn the seats on even when it is hot out

My Forester had cloth seats and 2-level heaters. They were NOT on any type of timer or thermostat.

I too like the smell of leather, but find them too slippery when cornering and too hot in summer - I wear shorts about 5 months of the year.  ;D

It depends on the manufacturer.  My 98 Bug has heated cloth seats.  There are 5 levels of heat settings.  It doesn't turn off automatically.  You could be cooking your sperm count if you're not careful. :)  Read your owner's manual carefully.

If you have leather/leatherette seats, heated seat is an necessary feature because it feels so cold in winter. If its cloth or velour, I found it quite useless because my butt always find the right temperature with the upholstery.
