Wow Mazda 3's and CX-7's eh? I know my Mazda dealer told me the '07 3's were expected within the next 2 - 3 weeks I guess he was bang on, too bad the ship is sinking....
As far as CX-7's.... are they really in DEMAND?
My dealer had 1000 of those on their lot, seems like the dealers are ordering them but I'm not sure if they are selling them or not.

The wait lists will just get longer now. I haven't seen one on the road yet. |

CX-7 is the hottest item in Vancouver, from what I heard from auto insider. Its sportswagon character really makes this crossover stands out above the boring crowd of Highlander and Pilot. |

The crew has been evacuated from the ship... It's going under...
The ship can be salvaged.. Some pockets got water, Some have air (as it should be).. Balancing them out should keep it upright.. I read some other forums saying the vehicles are not tethered..oouch !! Expect good source of scratch and dent parts....!! |

I'm pretty sure the ships are tethered as all the japanese cars I have owned have had tie down hooks front and rear. The real question might be are they tethered well enough to handle the degree of list this ship experienced. |

Cars would be tethered. It would be stupid not to. Oceans have waves that can rock your products.
When I used to package hazardous materials for shipment overseas, everything was double secured and braced inside the 20 or 40 foot containers. |

I would think those cars that have had the salt bath would be written off and if some survived without much damage they will be salvaged and sold as new. Everything is tied down under the decks and on top as cargo has been washed overboard before including locomotives. Theres 2 of them in the big trench in the Atlantic already. |

There are huge ads in local newspapers for CX-7, I am wondering how Mazda Canada is going to fulfill its huge demand right now! |

I was really let down by the perceived quality of the interior materials. Lots of hard plastics, etc. Benchmarked against the Murano (the other stylish SUV), it falls quite abit short in this area. |

How is it possible that after electricity has traveled through hundreds of miles of power line then hundreds of feet (or yards) of romex in our home, that changing the last three feet of wire with something exotic, expensive (cool looking, and packaged in a pricey box) is going to make a difference?

Another, more sobering update: a marine architect/engineer fell 3-5 meters to his death while surveying the interior damage. Salvage operations are on hold until a safety inspection can be done. Sorry, the link at CBC-BC is gone now. |
