I've seen the Acadia and the Outlook at the Montreal Auto Show and a few on the road ... I guess I always imagine them smaller than they really are. Also, the Trailblazer started at 31 595$ ... not that their related. |

I'm very impressed by what I've seen/heard about this and the Enclave.
Were I in the market for a 7 passenger SUV, these are decent alternatives to the more expensive MDX.
Good job GM. |

While at the GM dealer testing trucks I quickly looked at the Acadia and was most impressed. It makes the Trailblazer look a decade old. |

lets see
features: fog lights, turn signalled mirror, 275hp V6, 6 speed automatic with manumatic shifting, full airbags & stability system.
available: power liftgate, two panel sunroof, 19" rims, heated washer fluid, quad seating, HIDs, MP3 playback, Satellite radio, DVD, Navi, AWD
everything I'd ever ask for in a FUV (family utility vehicle)! |

Don't forget "a third-row seat that's actually usable." That's a huge improvement over most crossover SUVs. |

A very large CONGRATS to you, inco. Way to go - I've not ridden in one yet, but I was very impressed with the new Acadia when I have seen it. Not many on the street here yet, but looks great. Sounds like a very good solution to your "needs" parameters (ie, carrying several ppl often). Thanks for posting and now, go enjoy your new ride. |

Very nice! I saw one of these yesterday. It caught my eye, especially the tail/signal lights (LED?). GM did a really good job with the look of this vehicle. |

A while back I did post my reasons, but I'll make it short and sweet.
Mazda - 6.9% lease rate -$190 a month more expensive than Acadia for same priced vehicles. Mazda did drop it to 5.9% later - still.
GM - 3,9% plus additional 1% off for Auto Show. - final 2.9%, plus $1,000 reward or incentive to switch from VW, plus unused Visa points that would be lost. So no brainer.
Mazda, if it were the same price I would have taken. The one pictured above is the one that was ordered for me. I just let the dealer sell it when it came in because he wanted all he could get. I didn't drive the Mazda, but I did drive the FWD Acadia - mine is AWD.
It rode nice, better than the Murano with 18s, but not as nice as the HL on 16s which was the one I coveted. Still I read the reports and the ride was always thought highly of - and it is. Smooth baby, smooth.
I also ordered the cold start package - I know, but it was put to use a few times and works very well, and also rear parking assist which helps what with the big blind spots.
And it has hands free calling and On Star - I like both and while I may not use it much - it's there and I also have the Drive & Directions package that navigates me to where I want to go - it's free for year one. So overall I'm pleased and I even noticed yesterday that all the windows are etched with serial numbers. Didn't ask for it or pay for it, but found out when going for a tint.
However, not everything is as it appears to be here. If Sir A is as diligent as he has been in the past, I'm sure he will be along to ask the question. Until then, there is a little surprise that happened on the way to Oshoway - er Toronto. I'll let him discover it.
