"We decided on black because it's the ONLY colour that is available with tan leather interior. My wife hates black leather. Pooey on you Acura Canada for giving us such crappy limited colour choices (US buyers not only pay much less for the same car, but they can get tan leather with many of the other more interesting exterior colours)"
Real sweet rides, Ray. I'm especially jealous of the WRX; that's one of the most stylish and unique cars of the past decade.
As to your comment about crappy choices and price differences from the US versions...brand new Honda Element EX-Y AWD A/T in Canada: $33,700 CDN. American version quoted by dealer in Minneapolis for an '06 EX-P AWD A/T that they were trying to clear out: $19,250 US, which after factoring in the exchange and reduced taxes on the lower amount ends up being a difference of $13,400 CDN. Big 3 American automobile makes have a price differential, but not nearly as obscene as the Big 3 Japanese makes. The area of the biggest variance was, as you noticed, the colour choices and interior fittings. Brand new Ford Focus ZX5 in Canada has 6 exterior colour choices and two choices for the interior (charcoal grey cloth or charcoal grey leather). Same car in the US? Ten exterior choices and 4 interior choices.
Those Japanese companies dirty cheating ba$tards must think that Canadians are, as a collective, fairly stupid, I guess. Meh, what are you going to do...?
