Good pricing, looks MUCH better than the previous generation and very nicely equiped.

Santa Fe MRSP    25 995$ --- 35 995$
Tucson MRSP      20 595$ --- 30 085$

I know that the Santa Fe and the Tucson are not meant to be cross-shoped but it's still pretty close when you look at the $$$.  The Santa Fe would look very tempting in the 25 000 - 30 000$ bracket.

Pricing seems pretty good and well thought out so that it overlaps with the Tucson but available features differentiate the two where prices overlap.

ie no AWD with the 2.7L, base trim with the 3.3L and AWD corresponds to the very top of the Tucson range.

Looks pretty smart on Hyundai's part.
To err is human, to blame it on someone else is even more human.

Very competitive pricing.  Value and content leader Hyundai looks to have another winner.  With the Hyundai van, is it on the market yet?  I haven't seen one on city streets nor have I seen too many Sonata's kicking around?  Is it because I don't get out much?  The Hyundai van and sedan are also great bang for buck buys....are they meeting sales targets?  Will this one also splash the market?

Ahhh damn it! I knew I should have waited a few months for the new Santa Fe to come out!  :-\

Both the 2.7L GL and the 3.3L GL seem incredibly well-priced.

Glad to see Hyundai FINALLY offering 6 airbags on the full line-up!

It looks about 10% more expensive than in the States AFTER you put the US price in Canadian $. Just enough that most won't bother crossing the border.

I couldn't care less how they cost here compared to states... I live in Canada, and compare whatever product want to buy against other offerings also available here.

If you want to stick your head in the sand you are free to do so, we're living in a free country.

If I can import the same vehicle from the States and save Thousand of $$ I will do so.  It does not seem to be the case with Hyudai products but you can save up to 10 grand on some luxury vehicles right now.

Looks like another winner for Hyundai!

It looks very competitive....does anybody know the sales figures for the new Hyundai offerings such as the Sonata, the Entourage, and Accent?  Is it meeting expectations?

In the Ottawa area I've seen 1 Entourage, a few more Sonatas than before but still not great numbers, I see more new Camrys already.  One car I see everywhere is the new Civics, man o man I can imagine those sales figures!  During my recent trip to BC, I saw tons of X-Trails, more than anywhere else I've been, I thought that was interesting and wonder why.

Sonatas have really picked up steam in the GTA.

$33095 with AWD

GLS AWD, 3rd Row, Leather, auto HVAC, homelink, trip comp, chrome pkg, full carpet cargo area
$35995

Can someone expand here but the base FWD model with auto is priced the exact same as the next GL 3.3 auto5 with a few more gizmos?
$27295. vs $27295.

Anyway, the GL will definitely hurt RAV4 and CRV sales to some extent.

Hey Neil,

Minou had a good catch on the pricing!

What is the scoop, does the 2.7L/4spd auto and 3.3L/5spd auto have the same price????

Maybe the 2.7L/4spd auto is $25995 which is an exact US to CDN $ markup for exchange rate and no margin increase.  If so, then HYUNDAI I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL

I see a lot of the new Camry's....like you said, way more than Sonata's.  Just curious as I have only seen 2 Sonata's to date and no Entourage vans.

I see Sonatas everywhere in Ottawa ... and I'm sure I don't notice a few because I think it's a older Accord/Camry.  Lots of new Camrys too but very few Honda Civics.
