I actually like the exterior look. Appears larger than it is and more maucho and muscular than many of these cute or wimpy looking small cars on the road. I didn't realize the taillights and such really eat into the width of the hatch opening. I'm sorry, but the colour co-ordination inside the Caliber is terrible. Just so very tacky and cheap looking, I can't believe it. I like colour interiors, but this has to be the worst integration I've seen. And I've seen some red accented interiors with exterior colours that in no way complement or match it, which is odd.
Pricing and image will sell these things, and they've already taken off.
Now the SRT-4 really does look very good IMO. |

That gear box sounds a little strange. Reminds me of old Daf cars. They had a belt driven boxes and were called Variomatic. They were really the first. I wonder about these CVT gearboxes. They are still very new here. I wonder what would they be like after 5-7 years of use. Are they as reliability as a conventional Autoboxes? I think a warranty would be wise. http://dafcars.members.beeb.net/DAF2beeb2/Brief_Historyx.html. |

This is a characteristic Dodge vehicle. Its different from the rest. I just looked at the engine/powertrain options, FWD, AWD,1.8 to 2.4L engines with CVT. Although I don't like the looks of it, but this vehicle is different from rest of the pack and stands out in traffic.
Edited for erroneous info. |

This is a characteristic Dodge vehicle. Its different from the rest. I just looked at the engine/powertrain options, FWD, AWD, RWD with 6 cyl (from Crossfire I guess),1.8 to 2.4L engines with CVT. Although I don't like the looks of it, but this vehicle is different from rest of the pack and stands out in traffic.
I got stuck behind one heading to Victoria last Friday. Finally, I intentionally missed a light so I wouldn't have to look at the rear of that POS anymore. Last time I did that was when I was following an Aztek. Now I know why they feature a dog mooning in their ads - keeps one from noticing the car's butt. |

Almost 4 days on weekdays, going home from work, I get to drive behind a yellow Aztek most of the way. I think Caliber is going to sell like Neon did. A lot of people didn't like the aesthetics, but did like their driving capability, our own robarakira with Civic Si for example. |

I really like the look of this car. I'm not a big Dodge fan, but I do like the Caliber. I think the Daymler design influence is really going to benefit Dodge. When you consider that the Caliber is replacing the bland Neon/SX2.0, it is a huge improvement.

The marketing department messed up. Dodge's canadian website posted an ad showing deals on a V6 RWD Caliber but all the specs were from the Chrysler Crossfire ... the name and pictures were all Caliber. |

Really?? I am not so sure about that. Dodge/Chrysler are clearly continuing to market their pure american muscle image, while MB just make lovely looking cars. jww |

I am not sure that there has been such a love-hate new car out in awhile - not at least since the PT Cruiser was introduced. I guess Daimler-Dodge/Chrysler like to polarize car buyers jww |

There is a sentiment that some people hold that says Europe go for more sophistication in their car interiors and trim levels. Even many older cars there (10 yrs+) have remote keyless entry, etc. |

I like the exterior of these cars but find the interior rather bland...
Saw a white R/T model on the road, very attrractive vehicle. It stands out for sure. Wonder if they were able to capture the driving dynamics from the Neon, seeing as it is it's replacement.
Just like Robarakira, I loved driving my neon, it made me a mechanic but I loved driving it all the same... |

I can take a joke - very funny saf. Seriously though - the europeans have had it on us for many years in terms of car content/features. We have never gotten it since Henry Ford ran the first Model T off the assemly line. |
