So price seems to go up with width, but

stock being 215,

what would be the best tire width - 205, 215, 225?

and I'm guessing a slightly smaller overall diameter than stock would be beneficial than greater.

Go as wide as you can on the rims - I think 225/45/16 or 225/50/16's would be the best bet.
