I would be interested to hear from anyone who had dealt with this used car reseller? Or know someone who did? Their pricing seems to be fair if not aggressive most of the time. I would like to know if it is a reputable establishment to buy a used vehicle from. Thanks.

I've been there I think.  The old lot closest to the DVP is all outdoor.  They are the typical Toronto fairly high volume used car reseller.  They take surplus vehicles from dealers and leasing companies and resell them.  They of course know nothing about the actual condition of the vehicle, but that is standard across the the used car industry.

Treat them like any reseller; put no more than $500. down and read the contract extremely carefully.  Get the vehicle inspected because they truly don't know it's condition and don't care.  If they can they will try and slam you, but that is standard fair with any of these Scarborough/GTA resellers.

Some of their prices on luxury vehicles are tempting.

In 1999 they sold my friend a "lemon" buyback Jeep Grand Cherokee. Through a long drawn out UCDA arbitration process, he got part of his money back. Its unlcear if they sold it to him, knowing ot was a dealer buy back or not. This was there main Lawerence St East location acroos from the Beaver gas station.

In 2002, a friend of mine was interested in a Mazda MX5. He asked me to go with him....it was a good thing I went. The vehicle was represented as never being in an accident. I figured out quickly it was a rebuild. It had all the tell tale signs plus when I looked at the vehicle registration, I quickly figured out it was a "salvage" title. This was at their second location on Lawerence East, beside the Midas, across from the Mazda dealer.

I don't know if they've cleaned up their act.

Do your due dilliegence there. Make sure the vehicle is as represented. Nowadays there are tools like Carfax and Carproof, which take the "mystery" out of used car purchases. They are well worth the investment.

If your looking at a luxury vehicle, I would recommend a luxury manufacturers CPO program. You pay more, but in most cases you are gauranteed a local vehicle, with full service history, whatever is remaining of the manufacturers warranty plus and extended CPO warranty and either Carproof or Carfax check document, telling you the vehicle is not a "lemon buyback" or been in a serious accident.

Thank you guys for the feedback, really appreciate it.

gta_driver, their luxury vehicles pricing certainly got my attention. That and the "allegation" most of or all their vehicles are supposed to be accident free which is a little hard to believe. Carproof or Carfax are certainly valuable tools but they are not bullet proofed as other postings are indicating. I am glad you shared your friend's experience.

I agree buying from a CPO program is safer and preferable. Sometimes it is not easy to find what you want though. Their selection and pricing is interesting but wholesalers are definitely moving vehicles that are hard to sale (or not wanted) for whatever reason. If it is because a dealer can't move a particular vehicle in its area, then you can get a good deal. But there are many other not so good reasons for a vehicle to end up at a reseller.

I bought a car in Oct 2009- paid $600 for the finance office to find me "the best rate in town" and at the end I found out that it wasn't the best rate. I went to get other quotes and got a whole point lower. The finance guy's name is Hamid. Although the car is decent and the price is acceptable, I would advise you to find your own financing, you'll save yourself the fee and be sure that you have the best rate in town. Try with your bank first!

I recently looked at an upscale Lexus at this dealership.  What a joke, not only did they not know where the car came from (said California, but carfax right in front of him said Pennsylvania ... not auction, but an owner in Pennsylvania).  Car is not is great condition, but the salesrep repeated over and over again what great shape it was in ... someone tried to fix the paint job with a different coloured paint!!! Definitely don't know how to sell to a female buyer, not interested in dealing with women, even though we purchase 50% of the vehicles sold in Canada.  I will definitely stick with a Lexus dealership at least you know what you are getting and can return to the dealership with questions or issues.  I would run, not walk away from this place!

I looked at a Toyota there once. It had obvious signs of a repaint (overspray, some even on door VIN sticker etc) and brakes that were completely shot but they claimed it had never been in an accident.

I'd be very careful with these crooks. They sold me a car and mentioned absolutely nothing about the car being in an accident, even though the add said clearly "no accidents". I gave them a deposit and finalized the transaction a few days later. When i finally came in to sign the papers they added to the bill of sale a small note saying "accident repaired" by hand. When i asked what was that, they told me it  was just a small scratch that they had to repair but had to include that in the paper and  that i have nothing to worry about. Having the car checked on Carfax, the car came back with no accidents, and i trusted this crook. When i sold the car a few years later, the records were updated and the car came up with a major accident which of course  drove the price way down. I will never buy  from these individuals and i hope you all learn from my mistake. if you must use these individuals, i would definitely make sure the car was never in an accident, unless you don't care, but i personaly wouldn't recommend this stealership to anyone. They can't be trusted.

I had a good experience I bought a 2009 FX35. They did a great job on the financing and their service department got my suv ready and in great shape. They had a wayy better deal than any of the competition. They gave me  a carproof and a carfax to see the vehicles history. I went to a lot of different dealerships and they didnt even have the car they had on autotrader, they had similar cars for wayy more than the advertised price.

I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership and let me tell you, coming from someone who had scouted most of the competition and who is not green in the auto industry, I am truly impressed.   The selection available was great and at prices that no other dealership could compare to.  The most outstanding feature was their salesteam, I was assisted in every step of the process by client advisor AJ and I truly recommend his services to all.  He was outstanding in helping me as the customer and meeting my wants and financial needs.  I highly recommend this dealership if anyone is in the market for a used car.

I recently purchased a 2008 Mercedes ML350 from Quality Auto Wholesalers. The service I got from them was excellent and am very satisfied. From the sales person (AJ), that I dealt with to the business manager Hamid for financing, they were very informative and well explained. I read this blog before I went to Quality and was very ekeptical. As soon as I stepped in the dealership, I was greeted warm and very professional. I really liked the step by step clear explaination to me. At the end I was very comfortable giving them my business. I think the previous negative messages that I read was from other dealers/competitions trying to give Quality Auto Wholesalers a bad name. I think that it is very sad to give a bad name to a good business. I would defentially recomand friends and family to do business with them. Thank you. Any questions, feel free to email me :)

With their "fake" testimonials, they just proved themselves to be crooks. Business must be really bad to resort to tactics like this. People have been catching on for awhile.

I see a ton of licence plate brackets with their name on it in the east end. Their prices are low enough for a lot of people to look the other way.

I can give you all the real rundown on these guys...they started out two brothers working out of the one location..i used to do work for them every week...(i wnt tell you exactly what becase i dont want them to know who i am ;D). The one brother was nice and tried to do business honestly and work with customers.. but they were both extreemly cheap. Anyways in the years i did work there they covered up all sorts of crap on cars....but eventually the one brother screwed the other one and they had to part ways..also the brother who has no people skills and screwed his brother admitted to going early to the auctions with an envelope full of money and bribing the auction guy to give him cars he wanted...he said there was thousands in the envelope....i would do work for them at a pre-agreed price and when i was done would always have to deal with them bartering my prices down,,,,i finally stopped going there.....i gotta tell you though ...i do alot of work at alot of stealerships and the conditions of some of the cars they would sell to unknowing customers was unnnnnreal!!!!....Be very careful...the almighty buck has these guys thinking about that and only that. P.s> i bet they are stilll bribing the auctioneer :popo:
