What gorgeous cars these two are. One must see the GT in person to realize how exceptional this car is, inside out. The Viper is simply not of the same caliber, though it is also significantly cheaper to be fair to the Dodge. If the GT500 is really going to be available for $50-55K, Ford will have another homerun with this one. The Mustang has simply no match either, currently. Outside the racetrack environment, I wonder if the added weight on the front end will upset the balance of the car and I wouldn't be too surprised if the regular Mustang GT with a good set of wheels handles nearly as well as the GT500. We'll find out in June I guess. Mmmmh... Wonder how much my insurance would be for a GT500... |

Those are some sweet machines. The GT has a serious exhaust note, and the street look to really back that bark up. The new Cobra looks like it's got some bite to it too. For $50K, it makes the 400hp Corvette seem like an overpriced, poseur car. What the hell is that.....the standard Ford remote on the $200K GT?

The GT500 for $50k is a major bargain IMHO. I will be waiting to see the pricing in the next year or two when the madness subsides. |

Didn't bother? Some people would give their left nut to head onto a track with a 500hp Cobra....only to be surprised by a 550hp GT.

I'm glad they put the engineering into the car, and not the key fob, unlike some car companies... It's a better performer than the F430, but the key fob isn't as nice... |

The engineering of GT40 is so good, that Jeremy Clarkson has brought 2!

Didn't he return his GT because the friggin' thing was on the fritz all the time? The GT40 is an awesome machine....with a Ford Focus remote.

The GT is a truly awesome machine that is surely going to be a classic. A true technical 'tour de force' the GT pushes all the right buttons. Check out on Google Video BBC's 'Top Gear'' which tests the GT and comes to the same conclusions. The GT500 is also quite the performer but to be sure not in the same league as the GT. |

The trick would be buying the GT500 at MSRP. |

Ford GT is definitely the best exotic car buy in the world. For a price of a 997 Turbo, you get the grip and performance of Carrera GT! I don't doubt that its the best exotic car buy but you've still measured it in terms of Porsches. Not only deos the GT have incredible power and performance but it is absolutely goegeous. The Mustang as amazing as it is in so many ways just doesn't do it for me. I don't have the nostalgic reaction to it because in my lifetime it has been fat and boring looking. |
