WTB 2006 Civic EX Sedan - Manual
« on: May 19, 2006, 11:40:14 am »
I can't find much info about the EX sedan and was hoping for some feedback.

Does anybody know the wholesale price for a 2006 Honda Civic EX Sedan - manual?
If not, is it worth paying the $40 to find out? More specifically do you think I will be able to deal from the wholesale price?

So far it sounds like I will have to fight:
  • to get 1K off the MSRP
  • to get at least 1 free oil change
  • to get any other extras

From everything I have read, which is a lot, the DX and the DX-G are difficult to find. What about the EX? I have heard nothing about this model. I'm guessing this model is not in short supply and that I "should" be able to get a decent deal on it if this model hasn't been moving. Any thoughts?
A saleman has already admitted to me that he would be able to find on easily.

I was thinking about aiming to pay $25K. Is this unreasonable?? Is it too much or too little??

Shouldn't have too hard of a time getting a Civic EX 5 speed. If you negotiate $1000 off MSRP you are doing pretty good, generally Civics are discounted between $300 and $700, not $1000 or more. If you ar really concerned with what you pay, spend the $40 and get a cost quote. The dealer will likely sell you the car for $500 - $700 over cost.

Not much one can add to that...  :)  Just that yeah, the DX-G is the big seller in the Civic line, so presumably theres a little more flex room on the EX since they would love to get some off their lot.  If you can find a dealer that has the one you want sitting on the lot, all the better, I'd imagine.
