That's an interesting looking engine compartment.  Is the cam cover blue?
Internal combustion thrust I trust

Is there some sort of small lip spoiler below the front bumper fascia in the middle, or is that an illusion?

No illusion. That extra lip makes the clearance ridiculous. The story is that Volvo added it to direct more flow to the intercooler and reduce lift. I may be replacing the front clip at regular intervals. ;)

Nope. I sat is a used R that was black/Atacama (Volvo speak for orange. ;)). The interior looked great at first but after I sat in it awhile the orangeness seemed to overwhelm me. The Blue leather is cool but I persinally find it makes the interior too dark and drab.

This car was fate. I was looking for a 6 speed manual and Titanium grey was my first choice. This one had just been delivered to the dealer and had the options I wanted: Integrated child seats, and subwoofer and no nav. It was meant to be! ;D

R's only tend to  show up at my local dealer a couple of times a year. Usually at the start of the new model year and then at the end. It seems that very few have manuals so the pickings can be slim. :(

looooooooooks grrrrrrrrreat!

Have you got the automatic in it?  I was reading up recently and it looked like for this model year the automatic doesn't suffer the loss in power as it did before.

No the 6 speed manual. IMO the only way to go.

Where's the shot of the smoky burnout?

Smokey burnout is going to be tough. I side step the clutch off the lights at about 3500rpm and all I got was a little sqwak. I think the BMW Z3 beside me was impressed though ;).  This thing is more of a high speed cruiser though, the handling is competent but not razor sharp like a 3 series BMW etc. The stability at speed is amazing, the sport or advanced setting on the shocks really keep the car buttoned down at speeds that start with a 2...
