No kids....just three dogs and two cats.
Yes, we did look at the Fit.  We thought it was a great economy car, but we wanted more (for lack of a better word) 'fun' while driving.  I did talk my sister-in-law into buying a Fit.
The Ranger will be the junk hauler (and dog hauler), while the monster will be used for sunny day drives and summer road trips.  The Mini will be our main vehicle.
Here is a photo of the interior.

How do you find having the speedo in the center stack? The interior looks great by the way. I love the 3 spoked steering wheel over the old one.

The newer mini's also have the speedo under the tach in digital form.

I'd love to have a mini, such a fun tossable car.  Congrats.  If you wanted "more" you certainly would have been less than pleased with a smart.

Awesome... based on price and peformance, I see the Cooper S as a whole 'nother realm from the Fit and friends.  Great choice.  I love the Mini -- second only to the Miata for tossability I think.

Nice choice.....congrats!

When are you gonna mow your driveway?   ;D
And I just laid a new layer of gravel last summer!  The trouble with B.C.s lower mainland is finding three dry days in a row to kill the weeds, and they started growing really early this year.
I'll drive the Mini when I can, but my wife has first dibbs.  My wife almost caught me looking at bad stuff on the computer.  No, not porn; aftermarket parts for the Mini  ;D
I will no longer drive the monster to work (which I did a couple of times a week), and it will be insured for summer use only.

As Wing mentioned, there is a small digital speedo in the tach.  I use this digital speedo quite a bit.
Unfortunately, to break in the engine I can't shift over 4500 for the first 2,500 km. >:(

I wondered about the arrangement also.  It's sort of like the Echo/Yaris but not quite.  I like the Yaris configuration.  Seems to me that sometimes my speedometer is obliterated on curvy roads.

The pic is great......I'm loving the Pewter colour of the car still :)  I"m sure you will have plenty of fun with it.  (Lucky wife) :P  Being from UK, I recall the Mini, always rented one for my return trips.  Neat little car back then.  Better now I suspect!

Beautiful Mini interior.

And of course, I looooove how cute it looks.
