Very nice old Volvo to compliment the new Volvo.

PS.  Your tire is flat.

Hmmm. Since the "hard" deadline of May 1 has come and gone I will say mid month.

Looks great. Interesting wheels - were those factory or aftermarket? Never seen them before.

Very nice, well done.

See those wheels a lot around here on the P's, so my guess is they are stock.

Stock on the 1970 and 71 P1800 e's I believe. Weird rim for sure. The outer "rim" is steel with the inner part aluminum or magnesium (not sure). They are refered to as "clover leafs".

interesting. My Scimitar had hubcaps of similar construction - inner was magnesium, outer was steel. Apparently not fun to restore/fix.

Volvo related I was looking in the buysell and noticed this ad:

Quote
61 Volvo minivan, p-210, estate wagon, dual carbs, good body & glass, int woody components, less than 10 p210's in canada, $4500 obo

what the heck is a P210? So goggled it. Interestingly car - never seen one before.

I'll get some more pics up soon. I have been driving around for a week or so and repairing the odd item. Sort of like a ship going for shakedown trials at sea. One of the sealed beam headlights died so I just ordered some trick Cibie' Halogens with some Osram bulbs :pimp: I am also trying out that Canadian autoparts online. They had a lower rad hoseand fuel filter  when no ther parts place could locate them. We will see.

Yup.
The weather looks like crap this weekend so it will be a garage weekend.

Lineup:

1) Replace fuel filter and fuel lines
2) If pump still noisy then replace with used unit
3) Drain coolant and do a water/baking soda flush.
4) Oil/filter change
5) adjust idle
6) Install window cranks.

Next week: new coolant/thermostat and rad hoses.

Ready to roll!
