Wondering if there are any 2003 Hyundai model owners who care to share their experience with these vehicles. Would you make the same purchase decision if you could do it all over again?

Am particularly interested in hearing about the Accent GL and the Sonata GL V6.
I WOULD NEVER NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN
THE LIST OF REASONS IS ENDLESS

This 3rd party inspection is the newest car rip off. They have reinvented the term normal wear and tear to mean pristine.
I am fighting with Autovin and I have got my 3rd final notice with a lousy $100 reduction. I keep telling them that they are wasting my time and I will no longer reply. If thyey take me to small claims I will demand shop invoices to start with to see if they are charging me a profit. They are trying to get me to replace 3 tires with new ones and I know that I don't have to do that.
The last time I had a problem with a GM van I asked for shop bills and the claim vanished. I wonder why ?
These inspection companies are hired by the leasing branch and the company will try to send you to them but they are a brach of the car company so I keep calling them. They say they can't do anything and I said I can. Stop buying Mazdas and Fords.
Their mandate is to recover millions of dollars for the leasing branch and if they lose a few customers along the way so what.
I tell every one I know about this trend to rip people off. Yes some damage should be recovered but my car was super clean and had 44508 klms on it which is slightly over half the KLMs paid for.

IMHO leasing is not necessarily a bad thing to do. It does represent quite a few advantages which are quite handy to many people. Personally I have not dealt with Hyundai or Financelinx before. However, I did return two leased cars the last years (VW and BMW). I needed to pay end of lease charge after "evaluation." Both assessments were fair and I was not angry paying. BTW, I would actually consider BMW's assessment as "generous." I believe leasing is not all bad. It ENTIRELY depends on who you deal with.

In response to some of the posts above, we really can't have biased opinions just because of what we have experienced personally.  We do need to look at the overall pictures. For example, my 02 Jetta 1.8T got the absolute low end of the coil pack fiasco (5 visits to dealership, towed once because it was simply undrivable). After the car was running great for the next 3 years and the only problem I had then was the the malfunctioning power window on driver side. It was even considered as "to avoid" by CR, but I still thought it's a great car. On the other hand, as I mentioned in another post, my outback just got a new steering column. Who can imagine a Subaru vehicle with 18000 km would need a new rack and pinion? I got the bad end of it, but I still consider my Subie as a reliable car because I am aparantly only one of the very few who experiences such misfortune. CR's vast stats pool still shows that Subaru is one of the most reliable brands in the market.
