WRX Sway bar / end link positioning
« on: April 21, 2006, 12:14:03 am »
Something to keep me going for the weekend.

Ok.  the suspension setup  -  PERRIN front and rear sway bars WITH PERRIN front and rear endlinks.  Eiback prokit.  Front Strut bar.  225/45/17 Yoko ES 100.

The goal - auto cross and fun on the "S" roads near my house.

this isnt my daily driver, but i want to atempt auto X this summer with the proper setup.

Since the front and rear sway bars are adjustable, what position should i have the end links in?  1st, 2nd, or 3rd hole? 1st = softest, 3rd = stiffest.

cheers.

Nice setup. Well, common sense tells to begin with the softest position and, as you get used to it, change it to harder setting, especially with a rsb. Rear sway would change understeer to neutral-oversteer, so you have to be careful. With fsb you might start with a stiffer setting right away.

Is your fsb adjustable too? I didn't know Perrin makes adjustable fsb... I have Whiteline front, and it improved a turn-un drastically! I am waiting for rear from Whiteline.

This setup looks interesting. Can you kindly show pictures of the sway bar link of your car because I'm planning of setting up one of my car. I could really use some guidelines of how it did look from your car.
