I love white cars, Mazda 3 looks great in White, RX8, S2000 they all look good in white IMO.

The Fusion was so so in white ;)

Interesting. Black seems very popular here. Black is the colour associated with death. In some (true in japan??) Asian cultures, white is the colour associated with death. Coincidence?  ??? ???

The S2000 looks great in white, too...  so does the 350Z.  I don't like boring cars in white though...  I remember seeing some old Saturns and stuff in white and they just look blah.  But white does seem for whatever reason to be one of those "fast" colours, it just suits more sporty looking cars.

The whole "white cars are cool" thing started in Japan... it spread so widely (within the Asian community, anyways) that ANY car that's offered in white will be white... even when they are UGLY in it..

ie. The BMW 5-Series, MB E-Class, even a Porsche Cayenne..!!! geez ppl... leave the "white-o-mania" to the Japanese... the Euros look better in other colours IMO.

One car that does not look good in white is the Porsche Boxster.  Blaaaahhhh  :P
Saw my first white Yaris the other day.....looked good.
I also think the WRX & STI look great in white, as does the new RAV4 Sport.
Old 356 Porsches (okay, it's a replica) look good in white too.

^^ Intermechanica?  My dad wants one...  but the VW engine turns him off.

STi looks best in black, imo...  just MEAN.  Not bad in white, hideous in blue.  Interesting to know about the Japanesse influence in the white cars thing...  at least, though, when I get my used Fit in a few years and paint it white, it'll be one of very few white Fits.

I agree about the air cooled motor.  It's the main reason I sold the car (trouble with Webers and VERY little heat/defrosting).  Mine had a 2110 cc motor, which put out around 145 hp.  This doesn't sound like much, but the car only weighed 1800 pounds.  There is a 356 replica builder in the states that puts Subie motors in their cars (mid-engine).  The WRX motor is an option  ;D
Intermeccanica now offers a modern VW water cooled engine as an option.

I think that's just the way the vehicles are photographed.  If you see a Canadian Fit in person the nose looks really short.  There's something about the shape that makes it look shorter than it is from certain angles.  In reality, the front end is only a hair shorter than the Aveo, but it looks much shorter.

The North American nose may be longer to accommodate the larger engine and the Canadian bumper regulations
