Well, I just purchased last night a used Acura Tl Type S 2003.  I'll be picking it up this Friday afternoon.  I'm very excited and I just wanted to share the news.  Black car with black interior, 80,000km paid $20,000 plus taxes.  Test drove an 2003 Accord coupe V6, Maxima SE 2003 but the choice was obvious.  Grin

Get the tranny looked at NOW, regardless if it has a problem or not... We are changing second gen TL/CL transmissions about once a week... sometimes more...

Congrats Aquifere, the TL type S is a fun car. Black on black probably looks damned cool.

However,

Nice!  Good purchase -- and it sounds like you've got the bases covered with the only iffy component I know of for that car.

Like the others have said, we're keen to see it!

We aren't exactly anxious.  Just realize that, if you don't post within a couple of days, we'll track you down.

Car looked sharp!!! very nice.... don't know if i am wrong though, the exhaust doesn't seem to be Type S like, or at least the tip.... i though stock type s has bigger exhaust outlet (at least the tip) and not sticks out as much... looks more to be an Accord exhaust/tip....must be the picture.......

Hi Aquifere,
Do you still have the record that show the warrantee for your transmission is extended to 160K?
i have the same car and issue.  However, the dealer said only cover up to 5 years and 100K.
Thanks.

Call Acura/Honda Canada, and give them your VIN.

I assumed he bought extra warranty to get the coverage up to 160K.
