Uh huh, and just how can you tell just exactly who bought their big expensive cars due to the emblem on the hood and who bought the cars because of what the car had to offer?

An Acura RL is around 70 grand, but is the guy who chose it over a Benz NOT a badge snob?

IMO, the guy who bought the RL bought it because of the value it proposes compared to its german competitors who are all over $100k for similar content.

Anyways, enough about this. I just found it odd that someone who drives a Honda said he was a badge snob. That's all.

Although the vehicle itself does have many merits, Prius has its own unique snob/fashion appeal.

I don't think anyone really knows what a badge snob is.

A badge snob, its not about the car he drives, but the car he won't, cause Its consider cheap and nasty and horrid by all and sundrey. Although they maybe nothing wrong with car and in fact futher from the truth. Smiley

Well all badge snob talk aside...

I've been looking for and test driving 'subcompacts' for a little while.  I keep coming back to the Rio5 because it drives great, and it just feels good behind the wheel.  Quality seems to be fantastic.  And the pricing is better than anything else other than the aveo/wave (Factoring in options etc.) and it looks better than it's sister the acccent.

Kia's and Hyundai have both increased their quality ten fold.  If it's a good lower priced car your looking for, it's a solid choice.  Residual value will still suck for a few years until people get over the old days, but if you plan on keeping it... Great buy, in my opinion.

I don't think it's possible that it's discontinued.

I sent an email to corporate Kia canada and they said the 3rd or 4th week in October.  I talked with a sales in Calgary and they said sometime in December.

The Rio 2007 is supposed to have 15" tires standard and minor interior upgrades, from what I've gathered.  (maybe u.s. version?)

I don't get why there isn't any news out there though, it's weird.  Maybe they're just trying to push out as many '06 models?  Surely the 07's have had to be in production for sometime now.
