Yeah, I thought that was rather ironic too, esp. since they happily sold me an extended warranty to 7 Years/150,000KM  :rofl:

Um, may want to check the filter cleaning time-line.
80km is pretty low but I'm hoping you didn't mean 80,000km  :o
Cleaning and oiling the filter should be done as often as you'd replace a paper filter.  Its easy and quick... so maybe more often.  
Get some K&N filter cleaner and spray on filter oil and it's even quicker.

Now back to the regular programming...

Really?  That's how the kit was sold to me, 80,000KM before I have to service the K&N filter that came with the kit (I was going to servicxe it at 2 years/50,000KM myself, but then again, I'm anal about maintaining my car so :P)
