VERY nice collection of rides, magmun - thanks for posting the pix. Particularily love the black Vette, although the SS Camaro packed a punch for the dollar. Is the FX a 35 or 45? With your history, I'd guess the 45.  ;D

Thanks Over50. The vette was great and was the best car out of all of them. But the SS had 350rwhp so it was faster than the vette.

It's actually a 35. Couldn't afford the 45 unless I didn't want the one option package (has ALL the toys). But I gotta admit, I love the sound of my exhaust. If money wasn't an issue not sure I'd get the 45 over the 35.

Impressive vehicle history you've got there. The black vette is my favourite. Nice pics and thanks for sharing!

welcome Magnum. Nice collection of cars.
Question; Can you post a picture of the FX with the back hatch opened and rear seat up to give me an idea of how much space is there back there.
How do you find the utility of the vehicle overall?
Thanks

Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos?

We found the FX wasn't that great for cargo.

I will try to take a picture of the trunk before the weekend to show you but like mdxtasy says, there really isn't that much cargo room. It will hold a couple of medium sized suitcases piled on top of each other but other than that I often find myself folding down the rear seats to create more space.

Factor in the sloped rear window and it is smaller than you think.

More than enough space for the average driver.

More than enough space for the average driver.

For in city commuting, it's probably sufficient.  For long family trips, get a roof rack and box.

For a week long holiday I needed a cargo box on our Highlander. We will have to pack much lighter in the WRX. :)

Does average driver mean, driver without children? With children you need more space plus considering the kind of activities you would be involved with.

Average driver means daily activities.  Unless you haul your 10 kids and everything they own around every week ... the cargo space should be more than sufficient.  Some people may justify a big "boot" for the occasional trip with the family or for moving a big object every 5 years ... just rent a minivan or a pick-up for those occasions. No?

I've often observed that people usually overpack and bring 50% more stuff than they really need.  ;D
