And Tamiya is behind all this.
Hey, stop picking on Tamiya. I've built a few of their models and back in those days, they put anything American to shame.
Just head out to finalgear.com, the 911 really beat down the sports bike. It was ridden by a GP fellow. I don't follow moto racing since 18. So no idea who. I was surprised too. Can't compare. the vette and the viper can't handle for
on the track compared to a 911 GT3. Except the new Z06.
Well that must have been on a very tight track because I can't see that happening with the relatively slow 0-100 km/hr times of the GT3, plus in the time it takes it to get to 160 km/hr (8.7 seconds), the latest hotest street bike is up to 240 km/hr in 9.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile. Top speeds are now just over 300 km/hr. Not bad for about $15K.
But stop teasing me. If you only knew how many Porsche books I have in German and English. I still think an M3 is a better all around daily driver though. But you can't get the rush you get on a bike and I haven't been on anything hot since the early 90s and things have changed a lot since then. In the end, I'd sooner take my BMW R1150 GS Adventure for a round-the-world tour like those British actors did on the Long Way Round. The Alps will have to do me for the next while till I retire.
