All of the sounds were made by this choir apparently. Once you have it opened, click on 'Watch Civic'

*sigh*

Why, oh why couldn't we have gotten the European Civic hatch instead of/as well as the American sedan?  I so would have gotten the hatch if it were available here.

Hard to choose whether Honda or VW have the best marketing.  Honda's "Cog" was the most brilliant I've seen.  The use of Garrison Keillor is a nice touch as well.

Those were boring as I would rather hear the pipes from a real Ballsey V8 with headers to make me smile. Thatsa real music to my ears.  A different Drummer persay to the next folks.  :)

I love those commercials. Well thought out and very well done. Sure beats the hell of seeing the usual POS driving around to a soundtrack from some top 10 song.

Mazda currently has a segment on www.mazda.ca (main page) where they're asking for people to vote on their preferred ending to the MX-5 spot.  I like the bus one.  :)

Check 'em out.

I like the first one, the Bus one is 2nd on my list, the wiper one 3rd it was good but it should just end when he wipes it away and forget about the light changing.

The other one is DUMB!

I just wish they had less music and more of the exhaust note SFX.  It sounds just like my car.  :)

(okay, it's not the best commercial series... but I'm a little biased here!  Geez!)  :)

Funny, all the good Honda commercials I see are from the internet. All the so so or stupid ones I see are one TV  :)

Barrie, there's only one thing stopping GM or any other car company from producing a similar ad campaign for one of their modern V8 classics - they never think of it first.  A GM, Ford or DC, V8-powered version of (what I'm going to call) "Sounds" would potentially have been even more cool than Honda's, but the twits that market these cars obviously aren't clever enough to come up with such brilliant campaigns.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think of "Cog" as the first outstanding example of viral Internet marketing in the car business.  Links to that video where everywhere.  I loved the latest VW ads, to the point that I'm trying to figure out if it makes enough sense to buy one.

No, these Honda commercials don't run on North American TV, but I'd guess that the majority of 18-35 year-olds have seen them.  There's your target market right there.  Not bad, considering not a penny was spent by Honda to broadcast them here.  These commercials, and the buzz they create, spread under their own power.

It's clever as hell.

Viral marketing at its best, eh Chansen?

Ford's Steve McQueen Mustang spot had some good SFX if I recall correctly.  What a great spot that was!

That was good.  A ripoff of "Field of Dreams", and good, but not great.

I stand (partially) corrected.  I guess I'm stooping.
