I think Williams should think twice when considering Toyota power for '07...

I was thinking the same thing.

I really hope for ToyotaF1 they get their act together, otherwise Toyota Corporate is going to pull the plug!

The big teams (it's a bit early with only 1 race) will be Renault, Ferrari and McLaren (Go Kimi!).  Honda may be more competitive than last year but they don't have the car to win it this year.  Anyway, we'll see what everybody will do in Malaysia this weekend not that they've seen the competition in action.

I think Honda is definently in the hunt...  They've been just as quick, if not quicker than everyone else over the winter...  I think Rubens is going to get a podium before Jenson though...

And after last weekend, one cannot dismiss Williams... This weekend will show how competitive they really are...

The winter trials don't mean anything ... alone on a track with controled conditions.

On a track with 25 cars around you and the car pushed to its limits ... now that's F1.

Too bad we haven't seen this for 10 years...

The  Fish-fella got all the chips, JV got 2  points   ;D, Button on the podium, and Kimi got  in the way of a Red Bull in Lap #1. Shumi finished behind his team mate who started from the back of the pack. Interesting race.

Haven't Toyota always said they will make the best sports car ever once they win F1?

For this reason I hope they get it right soon...

So the car will be made in 10-20 years?  :rofl2:

I know things change very quickly in F1 (expecially with the highest budget for R&D in the league) but I doubt that Toyota will go anywhere in the next year or two.  Honda looks promising but they don't have the car for it ... Button's results is due to Button not Honda.

You mean the very same Button who hasn't won a race in over 100 starts?

Put Button in a Renault and he still wouldn't win...  He has no concept of pushing a car when needed, under pressure...

Barrichello won races  ... no he's 15th and 10th with a car similar to Button's.

Put Alonso in a Honda ... he couldn't win either.

Barrichello is adjusting to the car, they were saying last race that he was able to just mash the pedal in the F car and let it sort itself out, but the does not work in the Honda.

Barrichello was driving the best car in F1 at the time, and it was also easier to drive than the Honda...  It's been said on air many times that he is adjusting to this car, and he's having a difficult time in doing so...

Alonso would 100% win in a Honda...  Alonso is on a different level...

I disagree, the Hondas are decent cars but they don't have the whole package yet ... maybe next year.

I'm not playing the "if someone drives this car" game ... it's pointless.  Alonso is one of the best driver this year but he's not alone on that "level" ... you have to keep in mind that it's still early in the year and the 2 races we saw were in harsh conditions with new technologies so things could change.

There are good drivers and good cars, bad drivers and bad cars, so it's difficult to lay 100% of the blame on one or the other.  Alonso is definitely the driver out there with the most passion and talent, I think Schumi has the talent, but is losing the passion...
