Not much to say except I posted a spy shot of this last year when I was in Utah (Arches).   :)
A subwoofer should only be noticed once it has been turned off.

I think the exterior is pretty good looking...the interior is ugly but that's what I'd expect from Jeep...I'm sure they'll sell a whole bunch in the summer when they are forced to bring back employee pricing to clear the lots

And to be honest, it will see as much off-road as the average Cayenne or Escalade will, ie none!

I agree that the GC SRT8 and the 2006 Escalade with 20" aren't meant to go off-road ... but nobody wants to take them there anyway.
The Porsche Cayenne, on the other hand, could show a thing or two to all the jeeps out there ... and the sounds it makes.

(I'm talking about off-roading capability here ... not looks, price, etc.)  "It has the sex appeal of a camel with gingivitis!"  :rofl2:

I drove past a new GC that was stalled in the middle of a busy intersection today. Doesn't bode well when a new model needs to get towed away  ;)

SRT8? No thanks. I'll take an Sti or even a Charger. GC SRT is one of those vehicles to add to the "why the hell does it exist" list.

It's still has more utility than a Charger or the STi though - it can tow a few thousand pounds, has much more trunk space, and is the only current SRT vehicle that has AWD.  For 50k it's not a bad deal at all...

I am trading in my Sti on a SRT8 Jeep(on order). I will miss my Sti but it will be nice to not attract as much attention.

I worked hard to justify the Sti as it just barely fit my goal equipment and wasn't real practical as my daily driver. I loved the handling and overall performance. I didn't like attracting all the attention with the big hood scoop and spoiler.

The Jeep will be just as fast in a straight line and be able to handle all the utility I need. I have had many 4x4's and can probably count on one hand the amount of times I had to push them to their limits off road. All wheel drive will suffice for 99% of my driving.

That jeep dash is ugly. I may have to get it modified. I expected the price to be much higher. It is a performance deal when you start comparing it to other vehicles in the same class.

Did you consider the Chevy Trailblazer SS? I think the GC SRT8 dash is still better but the Trailblazer, though not as fast, has much better utilility factor. I really don't know which one I pick without test driving both... But if you seriously consider towing, the GC SRT8 doesn't compete with the SS.
