I'd have to agree with Wing, $1000 is a lot of money for what would be considered by most as a disposable car that gets beaten around a track at 5-6 events in the year. I was lucky when we bought stinky, $300 between 3 guys and the car had 4 brand new winter tires.

Yup $300 here as well.  If I had a truck to tow the car to and from the event location it would be a different story I would pay a bit more.  We paid $300 for the car but it cost us $200 to tow it from where we bought it and then to the event, then we scrapped it.  We didn't want to pay another $100 to tow it back to storage.

If I find a team mate with a truck and storage location I'm willilng to pay more for a car that can be used for multiple seasons :)

That is not to bad for towing fees. We have a tow bar and I borrow my fathers F150 to move the car. Last fall it cost $46 in gas just to do it. This Sunday was cheaper, only cost $20 in gas as we are not storring it in the middle of nowhere.

We also had to find the equipment, we got lucky someone lent us a truck and trailer to get it to the event.  One of our team members assured me when we bought the car towing wasn't an issue as his brother had a truck.  But his brother wouldn't lend it to him ::)

Well our car was in pretty crappy shape, we might be interested in purchasing another car, but our budget is TINY.

I have an NX that may be available in the fall. We are talking max $500 bucks here. 275k kms, clicking CV but the rest is uhhhh ok.
