Totalled her last event of the Season!
« on: March 05, 2006, 07:14:32 pm »
:rofl2: Oh what fun I had totally the NX

I hit the snowbank HARD on the passenger side, causing the driver side to fly into the air and land BANG, no more shock tower.

Do you realize that in about 40 years, we'll have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos?

Poor Wing, he tried real hard at surfing the snowbanks with the car, but he was just a little too violent with his execution.  May the NX1600 R.I.P. , It was a junker that did not even deserve to be a Slush 'N Slide car. It will now fullfill it's destiny and become and assortment of recycled metal products. And the window was allready busted from 2 weeks ago when one of Wing's team members was trying to clear ice from the back window

Yup we were lent another car for the remainder of the day and that's it, it was a great ending to the season.

To rip the shock tower out of this car means there was a lot of rust on the body under this car. Many of the imports are famous for rotten shock towers and have been for years.  :)

It is a 15 year old car that has seen 14 Ontario winters. The car was also getting some pretty substantial abuse, I'm suprised it lasted that long. I'm doing the same thing in a 21 year old import and the body is still solid, of course the car had the advantage of never seing an Ontario winter on the road and Wing was not driving it.

Need a new slush-n-slider, James? I *might* be ready to get rid of my Accent by next winter. I dunno if I can stand the thought of that happening to it, though.  :P

Should be able to find a BMW E30 318i/325e in "drive-able' shape for around $1000, 1984-85 vintage. The 318i is only 2600 lbs, some has a rear lsd, will be very fun sliding around in the snow.  ;D
