Damn I thought you were talking about a smaller Honda truck, which I would be very interested in! :'( But this Dodge crap, I don't care about.   >:(

Why do you care, Shnak?  You'll never own a truck (or a wannabe truck) anyway.   :stick:

Surely Dodge could have picked a better name than resurrecting the 'Rampage' moniker.  Cool truck......crappy name.

Actually, I've been thinking about buying a small truck in the near future as a 2nd vehicle. There currently isn't much in the small, affordable truck market... if Honda would offer a mini-Ridgeline based on the CR-V, I would definitely be interested! I'd only need/want a 'city' truck, with good fuel economy, comfort and reliability... there isn't much that fits these requirements out there...  I know I know, it's a small SUV that I should be looking for instead (like a CR-V) but there's something that rocks about driving a truck... I loved driving my dad's Ranger! ;)

That thing is ok for a concept car ... but the final product will probably be a Jeep Liberty or a DCX van with a 4 foot box in the back.  :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

They'll probably stick a Hemi in it and call it a "truck".  ;D

Don't you mean DCX's Ridgeline clone that was a clone of the Avalanche?  ;D

Chevrolet's Avalanche vs. Honda's Ridgeline vs. Dodge Rampage

Chevy's full-size truck, Honda's utilitarian minivan and DCX mid-size truck concept are more long lost cousins than clones since they're not even in the same bracket.  ;D

Y2Chuck is correct in that GM's Avalanche started this trend with their original design. I wouldn't call the possible Dodge truck a clone at all as it has many more things going for it then the Honda as it will have a greater payload as well as the power house under the hood. The Old Rampage with the Turbo's are very collectable now and very rare as well. DC has not had a small truck for a while so they are about due to bring one out.  :)

Not sure, but wasn't the Exporer SportTrak on the market before the Avalanche?

so technically, the Avalance was a clone itself?

So barrie... the Avalance isn't a clone, the Rampage isn't a clone, but the Ridgeline IS a clone?  ;D

AFAIK, the Exploder SportTrac does not have the fold-down midgate between the bed and the cab like the Avalanche.  Neither does the Ridgeline.  The Avalanche and Ridgeline are closer in appearance then they are with the SportTrac.

There are differences between all of them, both in their intended functions and their features. I don't have a problem with someone calling the Ridgeline a clone of the Avalanche because yeah, they look similar... but the Rampage looks just as similar, AND unlike the Ridgeline who is a completely different beast, the Rampage mimicks the Avalanche all the way around. But whatever... we all know that the Ridgeline isn't a real truck, and because of that it sucks... while anything built on a frame, has a big engine consuming fuel like there's no tomorrow, that's a real truck.

The Rampage would have unibody construction...
