Pics of my CTS-V and CTS
« on: February 02, 2006, 12:46:14 am »
Ok...

First of all.. Here's some info..

The V has Mille Miglias on Blizzaks for winter, and stock rims on Toyo Proxes for the summer.  It's pictured below with the winter rims (pics are from this weekend).  I just got this car 2 months ago, bought it from Michigan.

The V6 I've had since April 2004.  The polished rims are my summer rims, the painted 16s are winters...  Pictured below in the polished 17s.

Rest of the pics from the photoshoot are here: http://jon.q45.org/V%20Pics/index.htm

Now the V6:

Pics of both:

And a pic of my dad's Lincoln LS V8 on his summer rims

Thanks..  Nope, BRK THRU used to be on my V6.  Then I got the V and switched the plate over to that.  The V6 now has a normal plate.

Jon, does the warranty carry forward if purchased in the US? I suspect a considerable savings!

Call the manufacturer first though.  I've heard some companies, I think VW, doesn't honour the warranty up here.  I called GM Canada and they said yes.

Well i was looking at Base, all I need is 60/40 seats in the rear, anything else is "nice to have".  It seems like the 3.6L or the 2.8L are the ones to get and the 3.2L is to be avoided.   So that leaves me to '04+

I wouldn't mind a V, some are listed for $49k on the trader ;)  Seems like gas mileage is fairly similar anyways.

Mine's a base, but not split seats..  Crap..  I'm looking to sell it.  Not in a rush to, but don't really need it.

LOL.  Well, I don't NEED to sell it, so I wouldn't let it go unless I got a fair price for it :p

Jon,

Thanks for the pics. The 'V' looks awesome  :winner: does something to the heart.
The non-V looks great as well. Thats the one you drive in winter right? How is the drive in winter, handling etc etc?
Does the stability control kicks in often being it a RWD?

Enjoy the cars.  ;D

My V has snow tires on the winter rims, so I do drive it in the winter.  It's not bad at all with the Blizzaks.  Stabiliy control kicks in a lot, even if theres no snow, but that might have somethin to do with the way I drive it ;)  My V6 doesn't have stability.  I drove it last winter in Waterloo (i go to university there) without snow tires, and it was completely fine.  Just don't panic, countersteer, and make it look good :D

Jon, would I be able to trouble you for a pic of the interior of the V?  ;D
