I don't even know if there's anything new for $15,000. Maybe Aveo/Swift+/Kia of some kind?
Personally, if my budget was 15 I'd be looking at used cars.
If you go used you can get 2001 or newer car with 50-80,000km for $15,000.

Welcome to the Form Redsun, for that kind of money there are many options for you to choose from. If you can tell us your actual needs then the folks here can tell which vehicles they reccomend. We need a little more info on your needs and purposes to advise you any better.  :)

You should be able to get heavy discounts on a Dodge SX 2.0 since they're being discontinued.  With a bit of haggling, under 15k should be no problem...

I'm sure GM has some brand new 2004 or 2005 Sunfires or Cavaliers gathering dust somewhere... look for one of these.  ;)

If you must buy new (i.e. you want the security of a new car warranty and new car financing) and a compact sedan/hatchback meets your needs, check out these:

 - Hyundai Accent
 - Toyota Echo & Yaris
 - Kia Rio & Rio 5

I'ld shop the Toyota if long-term quality/resale is a priorty and the Accent/Rio if standard features and cheap financing are more important. I think the Hyundai/Kia cousins offer better warranties than the Toyota.

I'd look for deals on Elantra or Cobalt as well.

Of course, once you ad the taxes...
Aveo should fit the bill in that case.

It's hard to say without any actual details, but an colleague of mine actually picked up a 2003 Camry for $15000 even when it was all said and done with only 32,000 kms on the clock. He has a talent for unting out great deals though. I would be looking used if I were you though. You won't take such a big hit with depreciation if you do.
