What is up with the photos!? Ack!! Please, for the future, include at least some standard 3/4 view eye-level pics.

GM and their Damn badge engineering ::). I wish Toyota or someone else would buy Saab and let them get back to making their quirky, cool products. With Toyota's deep pockets and manufacturing and development expertise you would see unique Saabs again; but with exceptional quality and reliability. If they wanted to make a real Saab SUV then it should have been more like Subaru's B9. That my friends is NOT a Saab! >:(

"Poor SAAB....how the mighty have falllen...  :-["

When was SAAB ever "mighty" ... it's a cult brand nothing more.  I understand that the ones who like SAAB are hardcore fans.  I like SAAB myself  but the brand is liked for its philosophy not their "exceptional" cars.

Saab may never have been all that "mighty" to begin with, but it seems to me that it has a meaningful place somewhere in automotive history for its innovations in safety, turbo engines and cool styling.  Now, it is in danger of becoming completely irrelevant, which is a damn shame.

According to this Reuters report, Saab lost $300 million last year, which is up from $200 million in losses from the year before that.  I doubt this fake Saab SUV will do much to stop the bleeding.

I know there are Saab fans on here (such as "dip"), but, in all honesty, Saab never was a big maker and I really don't care whether it survives or not. I did own one briefly, a 1983 900S sedan(I think it was), and it was fine - but I did not have it long enough to make rational comments about it. Kind of like Mitsubishi for me - there are enough choices out there without the "fringe" makes.  ::) ;)
