If it were me, I'd take the money and run.  At best, you'd get an extra $2k over the $39k I'd bet.  The G35X's aren't selling THAT well that they're going for MSRP out of the showrooms as far as I know, so after advertising costs, you'd probably get an extra few hundred bucks each.  Really not worth the headache in my opinion.

Agree. You may get a couple of grands more but does it worth the aggravation? The G35 is about to change so its depreciation may get higher in the near future as the 2007 model may be announced in the New York autoshow (April 2006).

If you happen to know someone who wants the car, get them to pay you guys, register the car in their name as if they won it. But that works best if you know the peole, otherwise you're likely to get scammed.

One of the guys here won a Jag in a Rotary Club ticket sale about 10 yrs ago.  As soon as his name was drawn, he was approached by one of the club members, who wanted the car.  The club member had the car registered in his name, and paid the ticket holder the cash equivalent.  But there was one stipulation:  the guy who had the winning ticket insisted he wanted to drive the car around for an hour, as he'd never driven a Jag.  In a smaller place, you can do things like this because people tend to know each other, or have common acquantances, and personal reputations still mean a lot.

I was wondering if one does accept the actual winnings in the form of a car, who pays the sales tax or is that covered? Since the car is not yet actually purchased from Nissan, I would assume/expect that the winners are required to pay the sales tax.

Sales tax is covered if he takes the car.  That is why the car is valued so high (ie. includes tax).
