Whenever someone starts with "Honestly" or "Honest", they're lying. That's one of those rules of life that go without saying.

He should have sat in the truck and taken it out for a test drive before he purchased it.

Yes he should have at least driven it and sat in both the front and rear seats as well. Thats a lot of money to be spending and then not be able to enjoy at all. We also have to remember that this is only one man's opinion of this vehicle and his personal experience only. He at least admits that.  :)

True, but even I find it hard to take everything in when test driving a new car or truck.  You're concentrating on how it accelerates and brakes, how it handles, the positioning of the controls, the seat's adjustment, etc.  You're bound to miss something.

I'm not trying to make excuses for the guy, but I could see it happening to anyone.  Does Ford have a limited no-hassle return policy?  I know Saturn does (or used to anyway).  Something like 30 days/1,500 kms.

This is why I always try to rent the car I wish to purchase for a weekend or so to get a better, non-pressured, feel for the vehicle.
