My Chrysler LeBaron has around 360k on it and still runs. Had a Tempo that 388k but I can't really take credit for the mileage racked up on them. Our minivan has 120K which mostly ours.

I bet the Rich Corinthian leather still looks like new on the LeBaron... Grin

1966 GM Beaumont, my father owned it and handed it down to me. Drove it for 4 years. Over 1,000,000 miles (which is about 1,609,344km). This car only had automatic transmission, AM radio and a block heater. Nothing else. Got rid of it in 2003 when I got a new car. Still ran fine with no problems and barely any rust. Got a good chunk of change from a car collector. Still miss it.

Truly unbelievable.

Since this thread began I sold my 1990 Mercedes 190E 2.6 with 511,000km on it.  Still a strong running car, but the suspension (all original) was pretty much completely gone, and would not pass a safety without a bunch of new parts.  Hard to put money into a car that old.

Echo has 260,000+kms on it.  I suspect it will go to 300,000kms or so.  Maybe more.

Whatever dude, don't believe me, that's what happend and I sold it. Sold quickly btw. Car ran fine. Owned by our family since '66. 37 years old when sold.

"Chunk of change.. a roll of nickels" -  Stop bragging about your ride.

Come up with something better sonny. It was worth more than your Olds Alero.

1982 Olds Omega 160,000 to 220,000 (sold). When I bought it replaced a totally rusted out door with one from a pick-a-part, then painted the whole car. It looked great, I drove it for 5 yrs or so and sold it for a profit.

I am in all ears! How can you manage to sell it at a profit!?

1999 Honda CR-V which I bought new just over 10 years ago.

- 181,000 kilometers.
- still completely rust-free, thanks to Krown.
- all it has needed are front and rear stabilizer links, 2 brake discs and 2 sets of pads, a catalytic converter and a driveshaft.

Unless I get T-boned, it is a very long way from being scrapped or sold. I expect to get another 5 to 10 years from it.

I wish I would have taken a picture when I started, the door had almost completely desintegrated. It had been reskinned after a minor accident, must have been made from poorly recycled steel, the 'Fiat problem'.

But that was basically the only issue with the car, so a $20 door from a pick-a-part in Calgary combined with a paint job (which is easy if there is no bodywork) made it look like a totally different vehicle.

On my truck, it's at 421,000 km now, still runs fine. Some wear in the front end I'll have to sort out, still all original suspension parts.

Most of my vehicles are changred out due to boredom on the owners part.

Ditto - this old poll doesn't even have my option - 0 to 100000 KMsSmiley

Add changing needs to boredom as a reason not to keep 'em that long.

Could you include the aforementioned option of 0 to 1,000,000 Kms?

If not, could you at least modify the poll so as to allow the voting results to be seen by non-voters?

Wow, low km's.  My 01 Forester seems low at 230K as my Dad's 01 Legacy has over 400K!

It won't be too-low-km if I do a lot of downtown driving thanks to TTC subway "screwup" yesterday AND potential not-so-good things happened in public transit i.e. TTC fare hike, potential H1N1 spread (definitely not nice). Why would I be saving money on public transit yet risking my life and time? (smile)

...but ain't the head gasket be a concern for high-mileage Subbie? I reckon it can go leaky at some point and have to get it replaced. Correct me if I'm wrong.
