1996 Civic Hatchback, dual airbags.
The good book in the glovebox says to have the airbags in the Civic checked after 10 years use.
Do I pay for this checkup.  What do they check?
Any ideas?
I miss my motorcycle!

I would think that may be a good idea, although I doubt many ppl will do it until serious accidents/deaths occur due to old, malfunctioning airbags.

You pay for it - who else is there to pay for it?

I have no idea how service techs would check them, but I assume the explosive charge in them must be checked/replaced maybe. ??

Depends how olde ye are, I suppose. According to my dictionary, pease is an archaic spelling of peas.

It made me laugh like a little boy again.
What is the story behind that rhyme anyways?  Leftovers all week?

I think if I find somebodys facial shape in the vinyl or the dash board its a little to late to worry about the airbag working or not. Its obvious it didn't.  :)

It means if there is a facial print in the dashboard then the airbag did not work at all. Its a little too late to worry about it.  :)

Barrie, I didn't understand your post.

An imprint of a face on the steering wheel was referred to in one of the links, jokingly as a way of telling that the airbags didn't work.
Suck, squeeze, bang, blow - who wouldn't love the internal combustion engine?  ;D
