07 Chrysler Aspen

The Aspen, just what we all need when gas goes back up to 1.30 per L, BTW how much longer before the name Volare, Reliant and Horizon make a comback?

DCX is getting as bad as VW in Europe.  They've got the Durango, Liberty, Grand Cherokee, M-Class, G-Class, Commader... and now this.  Not only competing with others in the market, but with each other...

I'm not really sure why the Aspen was really needed in the lineup to begin with.

I saw the picture and to me it looks much better than the Durango. But what size is it and where does it fit? I have not noticed any write ups on it yet so I'm in the dark. I like the looks just because it isn't a Jeep and I hope it's never Trail Rated. :drv2:

When towing, Chrysler Aspen’s “Tow/Haul” transmission provides crisp shifts and reduces gear searching by holding the lower gear longer.  The system will also select a lower gear under downhill conditions in order to utilize the engine’s braking capability.

Chrysler Aspen’s standard engine is the 235-horsepower 4.7-liter Magnum V-8 engine with 300 lb.-ft. of torque, providing smooth and responsive performance.  Both the 4.7-liter and 5.7-liter V-8 engines are mated to a five-speed automatic Chrysler-designed heavy-duty transmission (545RFE).


The two-wheel-drive 4.7 and four-wheel-drive Hemi get 14 city, 19 highway.
The four-wheel-drive 4.7 gets 14 city, 18 highway.
The two-wheel-drive Hemi gets 15 city, 20 highway

Now this I was pleasantly surprised by.

It actually looked pretty decent and nicer than the Durango. I gave it a  :thumbup:
