Yes 1 side, but the vehicle is so small, not having the dual fold downs is really silly.

What do you mean by "1 side"? I'm pretty sure the whole back seat folds down.

I think he means one piece.

Base price for the 3-door Yaris is $13,580.

Nope, it's not.  It's $14,764 with PDI and NO taxes.  Since most dealer probablt tack another $400+ on for "admin" right on the top, the actual starting price for a two door Yaris is about $15,000, which in that class, is miles from $13,580.

Sorry John, but in BC at least, NO adminisrtation fee is allowed on Toyotas. Freight/dealer prep = $1010 as per my purchase agreement. Air con. tax = $100, BC tire & battery levy = $20. If you look at the Accent review, the prices they quote are without delivery/dealer prep. Please compare apples with apples.

One gripe about the automatic's performance is its tendency to behave a bit like a CVT under moderate acceleration, with the engine's speed remaining almost constant as the car gets up to speed.

How is that even possible?

The torque converter allows a fair bit of slip until it locks up at highway speeds.

Wouldn't a slipping torque converter make the engine speed increase without an increase in vehicle speed?
