Dare I say it?  Charger SRT8 offers 425hp...  :D

I have to wonder if anyone has thought about the name of this beast, though.  I mean, cross-breeding of a Mustang and a Cobra is a bit sketchy, imho.  ;)

Nice….$44k USD ouch. I bet that would be way over $50k CDN perhaps $60k. Hope it comes in a coupe.

I know it's been done.  :)  I was just commenting on the paradox of the name, in general.

500hp and 4 seats?  BMW M5.  4 doors too.

That's one nice looking machine....perhaps Ovr will move the Bullitt and get himself one of these bad boys.

I wonder how much stiffening the chassis will require to accommodate 500 hp in the convertible. I could see 500 hp in a coupe but the previous generation Mustang convertibles I have driven were terrible.

Funny thing is that the latest press releases suggest the dropping of the Cobra name...so that's just the Shelby GT500.

Hard top versioin should come out next year, followed shortly by the convertible. I just wished the convertible would have rollover protection (no current mention on that aspect).

The difference between the US Mustang GT and the Canadian GT is around 10% (base GT-both in Canadian dollars)
If the Cobra's price in Canada was 10% more , that would put it at around $48,500.

500 HP Mustang for $48k CDN would be worthy of consideration.
