Use google and you'll find the fed site that lists them all.

If enough people start cross-border shopping, manufacturers will be pressured by dealers to adjust prices as they watch customers heading south.

Some stuff in Canada is cheap, but cars ain't one of em.  Thankfully, climbing gear is one.  The prices are pretty much the same!  A $195 ice tool in the US usually sells for the identical price here, and this is the same for most equipment and high-end specialty clothing.  For some weird reason, tents are the exception.  The new moutaineering tent I am drooling over is about $600US and sells for $900 in Canada.  Everyone I know that has one, bought it in the US, and sales in Canada are pretty much non-existant.  This might happen with Subarus if word gets around enough...

hint: spread the word...
No place I'd rather be...

You pay the sales tax when you register the car, so since you are not registering it in the US you don't pay.

Same as when you buy a car in Quebec as an Ontario customer you do not pay QC sales tax.

Does anyone here have first-hand experience of going to the States to buy a car as a non-resident? If so, which state? How difficult was it to buy the car as a non-resident and did you need to get the car registered in that state as yours before brining it back to Canada. There's alot on the Net about what happens at Customs and on this side once the car is here. I'm confused about the starting point. Do you need to deal with the DMV in the state of purchase?

Apparently some states require you pay the tax.  Read this:
