Further Sprucing up this section (Dent's Last rides)
« on: December 14, 2005, 04:42:57 pm »
a small selection of my ex-rides.

recently sold - 1981 Rx-7 - oh so much fun!

1974 Triumph Spitfire - my favorite car so far - not fast but handled well and tons of fun.

1978 Z28 - had a warmed up 350, 4bbl carb, headers, 4spd close ratio manual (rare), posi rear end. Much more fun that the 96 Mustang GT I owned. Sold to a guy in the US for a rather large amount.

Arthur_(On_the_Rocks_&_past_out_in_the)_Dent, how is the gas to oil consumption ratio on the FB RX-7?

Why is the old Z28 more fun the the 96 'Stang? Though the factory 350 didn't have a lot of ponies back then, oil crisis scare and all.

The old style 350's may not have had a lot of power straight from the factory but a lot could be done very cheaply and very fast to get it up in a hurry. A heck of a lot cheaper then doing up a Ford block as well.  :)

I was very disappointed with the performance of my first new car, an ’81 Z-28. I got worse after my Dad drove it and laughed.
