Well it is a wonderfull thing but the UK market civic diesel gets very close to the same fuel econmoy and doesnt have an expensive battery and all the motor electronics installed....and the civic diesel has a zillion lb/ft of torque, well over 200 lbft

I'll have to check AV but I think that you an even get a tiny diesel in a Yaris.  I have a vision of that... a tiny car with two huge exhaust stacks coming out vertically behind the doors. Cheesy

Yaris diesel is available in Japan and will be in Europe. I can't remember off hand whether it is a 1.3 or 1.4.  Grin

Just checked - it is 1.4L

Yep and at this moment Toyota UK says there is one but you can't "build your Yaris" with one....

A diesel Yaris with a turbo and a "power box" would be really neat ( say 140 bhp and 200 lbs feet)
