Hello,
It would seem that I need to have my car inspected in order to have it registered for BC license and insurance. Can anyone recommend a good honest service centre that I can bring my car to?
Also anyone know what this inspection entails?

thanks!

Unless things have changed since I moved to the Island 3 years ago, you simply take your car to the Government testing station and have them run it through. The do a superficial check of the suspension, brakes, exhaust system, lights, horn, and a serious check on emissions.

I think Canadian Tire does it.  When a co-worker got his S4 from Ontario done the paperwork took longer than the inspection.  They check the lights, seatbelts, the cluster when you start it up (ABS light, Airbag light, etc.) and that's about it.  Truely stupid on a newish car.

I'm thinking what if CT wants to 'recommend' stuff to change to make money off me?! And I am not sure if I want to trust the mechanics there. Hmm... they are quite accessible though. I looked up the RIV list of inspection station and I'm thinking maybe I should bring it to Granville Toyota or Pacific Honda as I am sure they won't have anything for a Saabaru?!

They won't have anything at Canadian tire either for a saabaru, and it's new, it should pass easily.
