just wondering what you paid at steelcase and for what size?

For the Gislaved NorFrost III, I paid $96 each. My tire size is 185/65R15.

Hats off to them for maintaining a friendly and professional attitude after working 12-14 hours straight and providing excellent service.

Hats of to the poor dudes that are changing the tires outside in the elements.  I find it incredible that they would work at night outside possibly in the snow.  That would be nasty. :P

Hats off indeed, but when I went to Steelcase a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday to purchase new Hakka 2s and have them installed on my car, they failed to tighten the bolts properly for the front passenger side (I was watching too, and I didn't notice).  The vibration only became noticeable at highway speeds (90km/h+).  At first I thought it was a balancing problem.

I tried going back, but it was already past 3pm on a Saturday, and they had just closed up shop and left.  Admittedly, I was one of the last people there that day.  When I got home, I realized the problem and tightened the tire, but there was still vibration.

I needed my car for the week, so I ended up going to Canadian Tire on Sunday (they were the only ones open) to get the Hakka 2s re-balanced and re-installed.  They're fine now.

I like the tires, the price was decent, and the service at Steelcase was great, but given my experience, I think next time I'll buy my tires cash-and-carry.

I've got Gislaved Nordfrost 3 on my Volvo S-60 and Hyundai Tucson and they perform great on both cars. Great traction on ice, snow and slush.

where can I buy the Gislave tire in Toronto? I never heard of this brand.  Can some one point me in right direction????

For those asking about where to get Gislaveds, try phoning around Volvo dealerships. I got my brand new Gislaveds from the storeroom of my local Volvo dealer back in January this year.

Unfortunately, I got back from a 3-week vacation abroad this week and haven't had time to switch to my Nordfrosts yet. I'm stuck with my Pirelli all-seasons until Early next week when I'll get the wheels swapped around.

Wow old thread resurrection. In Toronto I know you can get them from steelcase. They are pushing it hard. Just google steelcase tires.
