I've seen a 300C running 28s...  bloody ridiculous (if a rather impressive feat, 28" of rubber and no rub).  I think Hummers also take 28s...  at about $5000 per wheel and tire set!

I can't imagine a 300C running a 28" rim.  I've seen them with 20" and 22" and that fills most of the wheelwell.  But that's just plain stupid.

Yeah I don't think a 300C can fit a 28" rim, 22 yes.  With rubber band tires.

Anyone else find it particularily odd that CD sent an old lady to SEMA?  :rofl2:

I don't know about you, but sending my mother or one of her older friends, to SEMA, seems like... the wrong demographic...

Yap would have been a beter choice, IMO...  Then I would know more about the go fast bits available and less about 'dubs'.

Ohh well, I guess vtec.net will have to satisfy in SEMA cravings!

Jill is a dedicated gearhead - she has an awesome and rare Studebaker p/u that's her project vehicle.  If someone made remarks about L. Yap's cultural background you'd be in big poop around here - and probably banned.  Why do you think it's OK to ridicule Jill's age and gender?

I think she does a great job. Respect her more and more. She gets right up in the action.

Plus, always enjoyable to read her dialogue. Makes for a good read.

SEMA is such a large show CD should really have full week, 5 part articles on it focusing on different aspects of the show and products/displays.

I think that comment was inappropriate, it's not only men that are car nuts.  I think her article was good, it gave me a sense of what is there.

Her article wasn't bad, but we can't complain considering we don't pay for these services / articles.

Very nice Toyota Avalon!  So fresh and so clean!  ;D   A dark grey would be nice .. instead of the shitty copper.

My bad...  the 300 I saw was sporting 27"s!  http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2137873/2

This is also pretty neat...  one would wonder about the structural integrity of it, but cool to look at nonetheless (and talk about unique...)
