My point was that according to several sources, finding an Echo to buy in September was like looking for hen's teeth and yet the source CLAIMS over 2000 were sold. Something does not add up.
You're forgetting that the Echo also was sold as a sedan. The sedan hasn't had the scarcity issues of the hatchback. Probably around 20% of the Echos sold in Sept. were the last few remaining hatches (I know the local dealer here still had two at the beginning of Sept.), the rest were sedans.
The interesting thing is that now Echos and Yarises will be listed separately on the bestselling vehicles list. Even with only two weeks of Yaris sales in October, if you add together the Echo and Yaris sales, it's still the 6th best selling vehicle in Canada, and the 4th best selling car in Canada.
