Those Sept numbers for the Big 3 are still representative of the Canada Wide Clearance sale (Employee pricing). The Oct numbers are different. I posted them to another thread yesterday.

October numbers are more representative of what's going on today. Sept still had huge incentives.

The list is missing a few models that have great reviews on this forum!  This only proves that being a relatively great car is not the only selling point.  Who wants to buy a car that is good on paper but is not practical in the real world for the masses ... for whatever reason.

Interesting to see that while the Silverado and F-series has seen declining sales, the Dodge pickups are actually up a little...  also quite impressed with those numbers from Mazda - up 56%?  Wow!

If GM did not make 4 different models of minivan they could potentially be in 7th position with one model.  How costly is it to them to produce  slightly different models?

That list looks suspect as the XTrail is rarely ahead of Tucson, CR-V, Escape, and Liberty in the segment. And there are typically many more vehicles selling above 1,000 units.

EDIT: XTrail did sell tonnes of units in September, behind only Escape in segment.

But the list should read in the order of:
1-  F-Series 5,376
2-  Caravan 5,365
3-  Civic 5,246
4-  Corolla 4,962
5-  Mazda3 4,273
6-  Cobalt 3,101
7-  Silverado 2,806
8-  Ram 2,727
9-  Sierra 2,677
10- Focus 2,469
11- Matrix 2,170
12- Echo 2,124
13- Altima 1,968
14- Pursuit 1,948
15- Malibu 1,934
16- Camry 1,867
17- Escape 1,780
18- Jetta 1,650
19- Accord 1,614
20- Accent 1,606
21- Uplander 1,536
22- Montana SV6 1,522

Just slight changes near the bottom of the list closer to 20, as noted in my previous post.

What really surprises me, to say the least, is the Echo sales. Most dealers were out of them throughout September according to both my dealer and reports from Echo sites. Where did they come up with 2124 of them??  ??? :o

According to siraqua's list, there were more Jettas bought than Accords! Maybe there's hope for VW in north america afterall!  8)

The Accord outsold the Jetta in October…by a few units.

Yeah, this thread is about Sept, not October. In October Echo sales were down substantially, with Yaris coming on strong.

The Jetta is selling very well - up 20+% from last year. This surprises even me, as I don't seem to see all THAT many on the road and moreso because of the controversal styling that has nearly everyone screaming 'Corolla-wannabe' and because, well, quite frankly it's smaller than most of the other segment leaders by a significant margin (which may be an advantage) yet sells for similar and in some cases higher prices.

And they're not all TDI's either, as TDI production is very limited. Many are actually base-of-the-base 2.5's, and the 2.0T was intro'd in August but they aren't in abundance either.

I don't understand your comment. Yaris was not coming on strong in September as it was not available until 17 October as I know so well!!  ;D My point was that according to several sources, finding an Echo to buy in September was like looking for hen's teeth and yet the source CLAIMS over 2000 were sold. Something does not add up.

Ahhh, yeah, sorry. I re-read and you knew the thread was about Sept.

It appears there were some avail, just not many and less in your market. And remember, some of those are sedans as well, which are still available for the time being.
