Known as a Monster Miata,(built by Cardiac Cobra Motors/North Vancouver, in 1994)  because it's powered by a Ford Mustang 302, Mustang five speed tranny, and a Ford T-bird 7.5 rear diff.  Engine has mild mods, and puts out around 240 hp, with 290 ft/lbs of torque.  Weighs around 2600 pounds.

Yes, it goes like stink, but also goes through things like drive shaft 'U' joints and rear axles :banghead:

Mmmm...Sunbeam Tiger.  Speaking of which, I've seen one racing sports car club events out west (Race City in Calgary and Vancouver Indy), but I'm not sure where he's from.  Fun to watch....must be a blast to drive.

Love the Monster Mash..er..Miata, 84im.  Looks great, but I bet it sounds and drives even better.

You're right, Davidm, it's candy apple red.  Paint job is 11 years old!
I've always liked the Alpine Tigers.  Anyone remember the TVR Tuscan V8?  Always wanted one of those too.
I'm not sure what brand of muffler the car has.  It sounds very nice at idle and cruising around town, but is very quiet on the freeway.  It's interesting to watch guys as I drive by (they're looking around for the V8 car, then it dawns on them that the V8 sound is coming from a little Miata)  ;D

Nice Ride 84, looks great to me for sure. The Red really looks sweet on that ride and the installation looks top notch as well. I would look for Gracefield Ujoints or one of the heavy truck types as they are much harder to blow out. I have a customdrive shaft in the truck so I know what you are facing as I tear a few out every few years or so as well. Mines a 2 pcs driveshaft so you know how that works with heavy torque applied on it. THey don't last as long as My Fun does. "Very Nice set of Wheels indeed".  :)
