Thought I'd dredge this old thread up as I know certain folk on here will get right annoyed at it's reserrection (sic). I will no doubt be labelled a complete and utter moron.

Anyway, I turned 3,000 kms on the GT/CS today. Not a lot I appreciate, but it is my fair-weather, fun-day driver only and it did sit all winter. The engine is really starting to loosen up now and it is becoming more pleasurable to drive with each time I take it out. Hasn't got any easier to keep clean however, and I actually like it a bit more with a bit of road dust on it; then I don't care if I get more as it has to be washed later anyway.  ::) ;) ;D

:skid:

Ovr50, I'm sorry to hear you're still enjoying the GT/CS so much.  By now I was really hoping you'd be actively looking at something else exciting for us all to drool over while we 'tag along for the ride'.

(you know, I hear those new twin-turbo Bimmers are REALLY exciting).  :stick:

Wow... was that foresight or what, eh?   ;D

GD - and my response to your post on the twin-turbo Bimmers was:

"Patience grasshopper, all in time" or some such.... ;D ;D ;D

Actually by this past June, I was already hanging around the BMW store, and thinking about the next move. My friend's offer did not even start to materialize until mid-July and it was Sept before the new 5 Series was on the table.  :)
