Everybody occaisionally exceeds the limit.  That's a fact.  But, we are not in any position to determine what the speed limit should and should not be.  The sign says 80kph....and that's where the speed limit stands.  Think it's too low and you decide to go over?  That's speeding.  Citizens do not have the right to change the law based on his/her personal view, but each citizen has the option to not obey the law.

It sounds like that's exactly what you did.....and you got caught.  But don't blame the speed limit for your speeding tickets.  It's all you.  If you are in a position to get caught for doing something illegal, more often than not, it's not the law that's wrong, it's you.

Don't mind me, I used to edit text for a living, can't help seeing typos everywhere. ;) ;D

For someone who used to edit text, you missed a rather obvious booboo:  No quote attribution.   :nono: ;)  ;)

Sorry for the remonstration. However, as someone who does quite a bit of online text conversations via newsgroups, mailing lists and boards like this, unattributed or worse, misattributed quotes are a real pet peeve for me.

Does it matter what the speed limit is and where? It's the limit, it's a legal obligation. People who complain about speed limits and tickets bug me. Don't like tickets? Don't speed. Don't like limits? Lobby to get them changed.  :popo:

From what I've read in this thread, the majority of the people who bought SUVs could have went with a minivan ... cargo space, driving height, passenger space, etc.

We're currently going through this right now. Started out looking for a small suv to get more space for camping etc, but the prices have gone up so much for them that we're into minivan territory now. A big chunk of me is saying "why worry about space, get the minivan and you can sleep in the back, as well as carry all your stuff".

It's just the two of us, and I guess we'd feel kinda stupid sometimes with a 7 or 8 seat vehicle, but if the price is better...

And we end up with 8 cupholders each, so that's kinda convenient. :)

Any vehicle that has at least 12 cupholders makes a case for me - hic! :rofl2:

That's what it comes down to for us, as well. Looking for more space, which often results in considering an SUV, although wagons are not being overlooked. When your spouse doesn't like Subes  :o, but does like the Equinox, you're where you didn't think you would be...
